Wat Klong Song Temple Dogs

For the past seven years, especially during the challenging times of COVID-19, I've devoted the bulk of my free time to caring for the abandoned stray dogs around Ao Nang, particularly those left at Wat Klong Song temple. The outpouring of support, both locally and online, has been truly heartening. Yet, the issue of abandoned dogs persists, unlikely to be fully resolved without the intervention of larger organizations like Soi Dog or government initiatives, which seem improbable.

Consequently, smaller groups like WKS Temple Dogs and compassionate individuals can only persist in providing care, food, and tirelessly seeking homes for these strays. Our efforts also include sterilization campaigns to curb the influx of new strays. Over the years, we've made significant strides, from finding countless dogs loving homes to providing essential vaccinations, medications, and even surgeries.

While some dogs have found their forever families, sadly, not all have been as fortunate. We've endured losses, whether to illness, accidents, or cruelty, each one deeply felt.

Regrettably, many of our team members involved in running WKS Temple Dogs had to leave Thailand post-COVID, leading to a decline in our online presence and, consequently, in donations. As a result, we've shifted our fundraising efforts back to GoFundMe to sustain our operations and expand our reach to other areas in Krabi to aid more dogs in need.

Your donation can help cover our ongoing expenses and extend our support to other areas. Here's a breakdown of what your contribution can support:

Food: 700THB (18EUR) per 20kg bag of kibble, 40THB (1EUR) per can of wet food, 100THB (2.50EUR) per bag of treats.

Vaccinations: Approximately 2000THB (50EUR) per dog for the first year, and around 500THB for each subsequent year.

Sterilizations: Approximately 1000THB (25EUR) per dog.

Surgeries, Medications, Treatments: Costs vary case by case, with most falling under 10,000THB (250EUR), though some special cases have exceeded 50,000THB (1250EUR).
