I am raising money for my sister and her kids. Melissa lost her husband suddenly on Tuesday, January 12. His death was unexpected. He collapsed and EMTs were unable to revive him. He was only 47 years old.
Melissa is now a widow and has two minor children at home. We both watched my mother go through this as well when we were kids and my dad had a stroke and died at 45. This has brought back painful memories for us and Melissa is devastated without her love. Since Steve is not the father of these children, she will not be receiving Social Security to help with their expenses.
Steve had no life insurance and my sister cannot even afford to bury him without assistance.
This fund is to raise money for Steve's widow, my sister, to make ends meet until she can find another source of income. Our parents are both deceased and it is difficult for her to work full time as one of her children requires special attention and cannot just be put in daycare.
The money will be used for final expenses and to help them survive until Melissa can put something in place more permanent for support for herself and the children.
Melissa is my only family left. I live about 3 hours from her and I cannot be there physically in her time of need.
I would be so grateful if everyone could donate even just a small amount for her and her kids. If not, can you please share this.
Anyone can find themselves in this situation. Your life can change in an instant and things come crashing down. No one deserves to go through this.
I have financially assisted so many campaigns and do not ask for money or anything in return. However, my sister needs financial assistance I cannot completely cover on my own.
Please chip in, even if you can't afford much, and I will make sure Melissa gets every penny to help her through this. It's all I can do. It won't bring her husband back, but lack of finances makes this so much more stressful and painful and empty for her. It's all we can do right now.
