Monty Singer is a Contemporary, Navajo Artist based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Monty has made several trips to Standing Rock, financed mostly through his artwork and community donations.
These trips have been instrumental in establishing the AIM Albuquerque Camp at RoseBud Sioux Reservation, just across the river from Oceti Sakowin. Monty and other AIM Albuquerque members are preparing to stay for the winter.
As a U.S. Marine Veteran, it is important for Monty to stand with the thousands of veterans joining Standing Rock on December 4th. Despite hundreds of years of colonial occupation of Native land, language and culture, Monty served his country. Native Americans make up the highest per capita involvement in the U.S. armed forces. Monty has layed down his weapons, but not his willingness to serve his own family in prayer on the front lines for future generations!
Please help Monty Singer return to Standing Rock with the nessecary supplies to make it through the Winter!
