Pedro Pascual's Results and Information
I have both Spanish and American nationalities and I represent the US in all intenational competitions. I have joined a group of athletes in Spain and my training site is now El Puerto de Santa Maria, Spain. There, I train with Olympic athletes and with professional windsurfing coaches and as a result my level has become better, being the only American athlete to qualify for the golden fleet in the RSX Europeans last month. As a result of this organized training I was also able to win the 2015 RSONE European championship. If I want to continue improving and training like I have, I need your support. If help is provided by you guys, I will be able to go to the RSX World Championships in Oman and fight for a spot for the Olympics! The race in Oman is one of the main regattas in the Olympic calendar, being this event one of the only opportunities to secure the U.S. a spot for the Rio 2016 Olympic games!
What the money is going to be spent on:
I need to raise funds for the previous training in Spain, to purchase and try some racing equipment (board, mast, sail, fins) and for the travel and expenses for the World Championship in Oman.
For this goal, I need to get 10.000 USD, that will be used for:
Two moths training in Spain (housing, food): 2000 USD
Coach: 1500 USD
Material: 3000 USD
Travel expenses to Oman: 2500 USD
Medical and phisiotherapy: 500 USD
Physical preparation: 500 USD
In order to achieve this goal, economical support is crucial. There is no direct economic support from US Sailing until the team is made so in order to make the team, external economic help is crucial to reach my goal!
This is a video of the 2015 RS:ONE European Championship that I won last month!
