Windham Odyssey of the Mind Michigan Trip

Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem solving opportunities for students from K through college. Team members apply their creativity to solve problems and bring their solutions to competition at the local, state, and international level.
I have the privilege of coaching this amazing group of 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. They have been working since last fall on their problem which was to create a mechanical creature that would change it's appearance to blend in with its surroundings. They also had to write a skit to present the creature. Knowing these kiddos, it was going to be a darn funny one. The process really has been and odyssey for them. They have put in many months of meetings and brainstorming sessions and have discovered hard work, creative thinking, cooperation, and perseverance really do pay off.
By placing first at the Maine Regional competition and second in the Maine State Finals, they have the opportunity to present their solution at the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals at Michigan State University over Memorial Day weekend.
This is where you come in. They need your help to get there. Your contributions will fund the registration fee, lodging and transportation costs. This is an amazing opportunity for the kids and they will be extremely grateful for your donations.
