Help Willy, the Civic Center Cat

Donation protected

Meet Willy, a cat who has been living outside at the Santa Ana Civic Center.  He has been here on and off for awhile, but about a week ago showed up looking terrible, with wounds and abscesses, a partly missing tail, and a hurt front paw.  He was probably attacked by one or more other animals.

With advice and help we were able to trap him on Friday, July 21 and get him to a local vet.  Turns out our outside cat is really very sweet, and was letting the vet pet him while he was on the exam table.  The vet thinks he can be treated successfully, and we're working on a potential foster home for him to go to.

What we need urgent help with right now is paying his vet bills.  He needs surgery for his tail, treatment for his various wounds, antibiotics, and to be neutered, vaccinated and tested.  The vet is estimating about $1000.   He's also been and will be boarded for several days.

All funds raised will go to his vet bills.  Anything that might be raised in excess will go toward spaying/neutering other cats we're able to trap in the civic center (after this experience we're going to trap whoever we can) and to Southern Counties Rescue, Inc.

Please pitch in whatever you can!  No donation too small.

Our kind and helpful security team helps transfer Willy to the car for his trip to the vet!
