Hi, my name is Erica and this is "Willow Penelope". I recently lost my sweet old English Bulldog at almost 13 yo, who was deaf & 7 years old when I adopted him. My son and I were lost without him so we added an English Bulldog puppy to our family. She has a spunky, sweet personality and both my son and I are hopelessly in love with her. Unfortunately it turns out she has problems with her knees causing her to be in great pain (as you can see in the video). I have taken her to two veterinarians and two specialists to the tune of $2500. These are her issues:
1. She's only 9 months & has had pneumonia twice. Is prone to chronic pneumonia.
2. She needs palate surgery so she can breathe easier (her tongue turns blue from lack of oxygen) which will aid with the chronic pneumonia.
3. She needs to see an orthopedic surgeon regarding her thickened and painful knees. Vet says she will need surgeries.
4. They want to do an MRI on her entire vertebrae to see if there is pinching of the spinal cord (6+ vertebrae were abnormal and found incidentally upon her chest x-ray).
5. We have to put her under, act, and go for the surgeries on the spot, immediate decisions.
Finally, the estimated cost of all this is $15,000. I need your help. I've exhausted my finances. Any donation that you can give (big or small!) would be greatly appreciated. We are heartbroken about all of Willow's problems but she's part of our family and we don't give up on family. We know there are a lot of dog lovers out there so thank you in advance for any help you can give our Willow puppy!
