Will Nace, Alligator Wrestler Fundraiser
Will Nace, a 23 year old alligator wrestler and animal enthusiast of The Native Village in Hollywood Florida made headlines when he was bitten by "Lunge", a 13 foot bull gator in July 2013.
Both bones in Will's arm were broken as Lunge pulled him into the water and performed a "death roll". Thankfully, Will's training and quick thinking is what saved his life. He required 10 surgeries which included skin/muscle graphs and lots of internal "hardware". The surgeons were able to save his arm but he will never have the functionality he had prior to the bite. Since being bitten he has fought hard against the odds to inspire, train, and help to develop and enrich many young volunteers lives' while slowly getting himself back in the wrestling pit.
Just recently, Will has been experiencing pain in his arm and a trip to the surgeon revealed that one of his screws in his arm has come loose which has created the urgency for yet another surgery. The surgeon requires a large lump sum "pre-payment" before Will can have the operation.

Realistically, the life of an alligator wrestler is not one that pays well. Will, like many others, has a passion for animals and the native american art of wrestling an alligator.
Will has no health insurance. No pension or retirement benefits. No nest-egg. No parents to fall back on. But he does have us. The Native Village is a "village". A village filled with friends that have become family and look out for each other. That is what this is. We need to do this to look out for Will. And we need everyone's help and involvement getting the word out and some donations in.
Will is so young and has his whole life ahead of him. He has been knocked down and has gotten back up. He has gotten back in the wrestling pits with one arm, because he has a passion for what he does. He has coached, guided and been a friend to many of us and our children.
