Support 7 schools with computer literacy education
Students are graduating from basic and high school levels without the basic computer skills needed to excel academically and to have better opportunities in life. This is particularly true of the students of Ahanta West district (Ghana), where over 40 public schools are without a computer facility. These students from rural Ahanta West do not only lack the basic computer skills but are also 2 grade levels behind their city peers in literacy.

DACE foundation  was formed to address this specific development challenge by providing a sustainable, cost-conscious program to provide a pathway to develop the great minds of the forgotten rural areas of Ghana.

We need your support:
DACE would like to purchase 15 additional desktop computers to expand our computer literacy program and to increase the quality of computer education. By donating to this campaign, you are directly contributing to the purchasing of 15 refurbished desktop computers, 15 monitors, 15 desk chairs, 8 tables (4ft), computer accessories and shipping costs.

Our immediate goal is to have 30 desktop computers in the classroom and a yearly increase of 10. Below is the school with the best computer lab - Agona MA School

Who are the beneficiaries?
Over 800 students from 7 surrounding rural schools will benefit from your generosity. The 7 surrounding schools with access to our computer facility are: Agona Model Basic School, Agona Girls Model JHS, Albadahiel Basic School, Agona SDA Basic School, Agona M/A Primary School, Agona St. Francis Basic School and Aboade M/A JHS.

What we’ve done so far:
We have set up a Computer Literacy school with 12 desktop computers at Agona Nkwanta (Ghana). This computer school was set up initially to cater for DACE fellows, but we soon realized that the surrounding schools did not have computer labs of their own. We therefore decided to open our computer facility to these surrounding public schools and to find a solution for far-off schools. This service is free to students and the schools.

About DACE foundation
DACE foundation's mission is to give children in poor and deprived communities a fair chance in life by supporting them with quality education and mentoring them throughout their student life. We strongly believe that education is the most effective tool of alleviating these children from poverty and helping them to realize their full potential. We provide after school tutoring, computer literacy education, reading and writing skills improvement classes, and financial support to our fellows in high schools and colleges.

Africa’s issues are complex, but the solution is simple, we need literate citizens. Africa’s dire need and our response became the genesis for what we now know as DACEDeprived African Children Education foundation. We are laying the foundation for a better Africa.
