You may have heard the news recently about the Wildwich Gourmet Sandwich Food Truck being stolen.
Read The Story
It was a wild and crazy day forcing Mike Stanley, the Owner of Wildwich, and his team to scramble. Not only did they need to fulfill preexisting orders and run their brick and mortar cafe but they now had to deal with investigators, news reporters and the reality of being without their truck. As you can imagine, it was a trying day.
The good news in all of this is that after a flurry of social media activity and news coverage, the truck was ditched back in Wilmington after taking a ride to Philly. (NBC NEWS STORY ) We know that it went to PHilly because of the photo seen on Instagram of a young girl posing with non-Wildwich employees posing as such and driving the truck near Washington Square.
The Not so good news is that despite getting the truck back there are thousands of dollars in damage needing to be covered by insurance for the damage incurred by those who stole it. Insurance is great but Mike now needs to come up with $1000 for the deductible to get the truck back in full working order.
Let's come together as a community and support a local business owner providing great meals and employing local residents. Mike has supported us for years. It is time we do are part and support him.
