Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
I've owned Electric Vehicles (EV) for the past 10 years in the middle of Wyoming, and lack of public charging stations has been a major obstacle for mass adoption in Wyoming.
My family and I started a company called Wild West EV in an effort to help businesses install EV charging stations in public locations like restaurants and museums.
We have installed 5 J1712 charging stations in 4 Wyoming locations since the beginning of 2017.
New stations will be installed at the most requested locations first and aren't limited to Wyoming. We can also place them anywhere in the USA.
The first set of stations are Level 2 and we have agreements with location owners to add Level 3 in the future.
The charger stations cost about $6k to $8k to be installed and can charge 2 vehicles at a time up to 80amps. They take credit cards, no network membership required. We are looking to match funds donated and install charging stations with a goal of at least one per large town in Wyoming.
With a goal of $30,000 we could place up to 14 more chargers in 8 locations this year.
For your contribution to bring electric vehicle charging infrastructure to the most needed remote locations, a donation of at least $10, we will list your name on the Wild West EV website. Contributions of $100 or more will get your name/company name on a sign, listed as a sponsor, at a Wild West EV charging station.
