Wild Rose Humane Society - Shelter
Donation protected
Help us to save our animals!
Our Society of dedicated and compassionate volunteers is committed to sheltering animals in need and encouraging responsible pet ownership through the promotion of ethical and humane treatment of animals in the communities between Innisfail and Airdrie. (see website at www.wildrosehumane.ca)
After several years of fundraising, our volunteers and donors have raised enough money to start a mortgage on a building to create an animal shelter and office. The building is older and in need of retrofitting to make it suitable for use as a shelter.
The more we can do, the more animal lives we can save!
We do not have paid staff right now. We are entirely volunteer run.
We are asking for donations to help us to raise capital funds to:
-pay for veterinary care for the animals
-buy animal bedding, kennels, and other equipment to help care for the animals
-renovate to ensure that we are more energy efficient to handle increasing energy costs thanks to things like the carbon tax
-improve our ventilation to create an area for quarantine for animal safety
-pay for other costs associated with caring for and re-homing animals
“Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened. "
