Wildlife Babies In Need

The flood gates of baby season have opened here at Evelyn's Wildlife Refuge and the calls just keep pouring in!
These poor fox kits pictured were orphaned after their mother was hit by a car and had to be humanely euthanized. Our local animal control were able to safely catch the kits and transport them to us at Evelyn's Wildlife Refuge. Their is actually a total of 4 kits and they are around 4 months old. At that age they are weaned from formula so they require alot of food which has started adding up in cost very quickly! At the same time we have lots of baby squirrels, baby rabbits, infant opossums, and baby raccoons coming in that all require special species specific formulas and supplies and up coming weaning foods and supplies. We provide not only their nutrition but various caging as they grow, beddings, medical, enrichment toys/activities, etc. We have to make sure that these animals have their skills needed for survival, they show wild tendencies and have not habituated, and they are healthy for release. These animals stay in our care for sometimes months at a time so it can become very costly.
We do not get any city or state funding, so we solely rely on the generosity of the public. Since we acquired the baby kits the other day, we have been getting lots of messages asking what we need and how can people help. A couple of our wonderful board members, Paul & Kim VonMosch, also wanted to help and came up with this great plan to help raise funds for these precious babies we have coming in now and will continue to have come in till fall. For every dollar thats donated on this GoFundMe campaign, they will match the dollar amount up to $3000. So if we raise $3000, they will match that $3000 making it a $6000 donation!!!! That would be so amazing for the animals ...... That would pay so many medical bills/supplies we go through during the season, it would supply so much formula and so much weaning food needed, and it would help build new cages/enclosures needed. It would make our work a little less stressful and it would give us the capabilities to help so many more animals in need!
