Wild Burro Rescue: shelters needed
home to appoximately 200 special care and senior burros, horses and mules. Nearly one half are still in need of shelter to protect them from our harsh desert mountain climate: hot summers, high winds and cold winters. Please help us make their "golden years" truly golden.
Funds are needed to do the ground work, which means clearing out areas that are largely very rocky. It will require a large tractor along with the operator and hired laborers! Equipment and labor are both factored into our goal amount posted here, along , of course, with the actual price of the materials needed to construct the shelter. These shelters will need to be secured and anchored in a LOT of cement to make sure they do not blow away in the high winds that are very common up here.
Visitors welcome, volunteers needed.

Can you help us keep them happy, dry and protected from wanda winds? Any amount counts.
Remember, Wild Burro Rescue and Preservation Project is a tax-exempt non-profit organization under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. All donations are tax deductible.
Our current shelters were put in by the Billet Barn folks from Lancaster, CA. Here is a link to their website: http://billetbarns.com/
Pricing varies of course depending on the size shelter.
Anything you can send our way to help us provide more shelter from the elements for our burros would be very much appreciated.
Photos attached are from when Billet Barns came in to put in our existing shelters!
Please help us to obtain more shelters for our burros!
Shelter from the hot, searing sun and hot winds that are part of the everyday here. Anything you are able to send our way would be so very much appreciated. The burros especially would be so happy :)
XOXOXO from the burros and all of us here at WBR.
What better time to remind folks of our shelter campaign than now. Yes, we do have shelters for our burros but we need more. We have had to rig a few make-shift shelters using tarps over panels. The strong winds have taken some of our smaller shelters.
Please consider making a donation large or small. Everything is appreciated! Follow this link to see more information: www.gofundme.com/wildburrorescue
Thank you all who have helped us reach the point that we are in this campaign. Spread the word to you family and friends!
