Widow2Widow Gift Boxes 2018

Each year we do a service project I call Widow2Widow. Our goal is to show love and care for widowed individuals who have lost their spouse or partner in the last year and who are facing their first holiday season post-loss. Each December we pack up individual gift boxes filled with items such as books on grief, a blank journal, a remembrance ornament, good chocolates, a card, and some grief resources and we mail them to the people we have names for - across the United States! Since 2014, we have mailed 120 gift boxes and this year we have 33 more names of individuals who will receive boxes. It costs approximately $55 per box to fill and ship. So far this year we've raised $750. I donate copies of my own book to include plus a little more. Any amount you can pitch in will help this project continue! 

When my first husband died in 2014, I felt so alone that first Christmas. Helping other widowed individuals feel cared for and remembered at a time of great pain and emotional isolation is the goal of Widow2Widow.
