The reason for the GoFundMe page is because to their great dismay, when they checked, they discovered the kennel was not insured when they thought it was.
Aaron Silver has been obsessed with animals, particularly dogs, since his earliest recollection. Not long after college he began breeding and showing dogs on a small scale. He also worked as a waiter at night to earn enough to continue his passion. He then built a dog boarding & breeding business in Dorr, MI. He eventually had a veterinary clinic built onto the kennel in which a local vet from Allegan, MI began operating a satellite clinic out of the new facility. Over the last forty years Aaron has bred a wide range of different breeds. For Aaron it has been such a blessing to be able to do something he loved his entire life. He shipped dogs all over the US, Canada, Germany and England. Many of his former customers have become his dear friends.
Christine and Aaron became wonderful friends about 6 years ago. She shared his passion and love for dogs and sharing it with others. They constructed Whispering Oaks Farm Kennel to pursue their passion.
Tragically and horrifically his new kennel, Whispering Oaks Farm Kennel in Allendale, MI burned to the ground early Monday morning of Nov. 26th. We are all still in shock trying to process the enormity of this tragedy. It knocked the wind out of Aaron to say the least.
It was only two months ago that he had two valuable puppies stolen out of their pens and now the fire.
We would appreciate any help you can give to Aaron’s cause of rebuilding Whispering Oaks Farm Kennel. His family and friends want him to continue with his passion, dream and joy of spreading the unconditional love that these furry kids bring to so many!
As we all mourn the loss of our furry friends, this process will be not be easy. They will need support in the way of prayer, monetary donations, labor, moral support, ............... We are looking for equipment to clean up site and for removal of debris.
