Wheelchair for me. I have PLS, related to ALS

Hello Friends,

I have been diagnosed with PLS by doctors at University of Miami. PLS has symptoms similar to ALS without being fatal as breathing is not affected. So I have weak legs and poor balance. Medicare (which I have since being disable May 2015) will not pay for an electric Wheelchair for outdoor use. Medicare will only pay for an electric Wheelchair for indoor use only. Problem is, I get around the house just fine with a walker. But going outside, that is a whole different story. I am very limited in terms of speed (snail pace) and range.

I am also a fall risk if someone just bumps into me, which has happened. No malls, baseball, basketball, or football games with a walker.

My goal is to have the electric Wheelchair by early June this year, so that I may attend the JW International Assembly here in Miami, FL.
