Wheelchair and Wheelchair Van

My summer garden.

I have seventeen months at one hundred dollars a month left to pay on my Permobil 300 wheelchair. Would like help in paying it off.  The transport company that has been taking me to the doctors office has been bought out by a bigger company and is dropping the transport portion of the business.  Now I have no way to get to the doctor or go to a store which I haven't done in years.  When the snow flies I am stuck in two rooms of our 604 square foot house.  I would love to have a rear entry van so I could get to the Doctor and actually go some where.  The wheelchair saves my sanity because it allows me to get out in my garden  which for me is few containers up and down the driveway and that's been my world for the last 5 years.  Without a van I've been more or less trapped in my 604 sq. ft. home in winters and bad weather and only get out around town in the power wheelchair on good summer days.  Owning a van would  give us our lives back.  We'd  be able to go shopping or out to eat together.  My husband and I have been married for 44 years and want to feel like a couple again instead of patient and care giver.  I'm an artist and he is a photographer.  Being able to go to parks , lakes, and events would allow us to create new work and maybe even go back to showing and selling it.  Our own van would be life changing.


I painted each railing with a different design, took me a year and a half, my husband took them off and brought them in for me to paint.  I painted the bird houses as well.


We have been raising butterflies in the spring and have milk weed around for the monarchs.  It is so nice to have butterflies flying around in the summer.  We have this sign up so the neighbors and city won't bother them,  they do enjoy watching them.
