Sam McDermott was a 30 year old mother to 2 beautiful children , Jayden who’s 5 and Connie who’s 2.
Sam was diagnosed with cancer in a number of places August 2018 , she was told it was terminal but she never stopped fighting , she faced blood transfusions, chemo, kidney failure , a number of operations all with her mum and dad right by her side , Sam was a fighter , the determination she had was amazing ,not every one knew what Sam was going through she really did have a rough time and suffered an awful lot of pain but she never gave up hope of one day beating this awful disease she moved back home with her mum and dad along with Jayden and Connie , I’ve never seen a bond like the McDermotts had , a house filled with so much love , Sam sadly lost her hair very soon after her first round of chemo and lost around 8st in weight but she took it all in her stride.
on Christmas Day 2018 she opened up the Christmas presents with the children then she was rushed into hospital where they told her that there was nothing more they could do for her. She came home and still had pure determination to beat this and prove the Drs wrong.
2nd January 2019 Sam sadly lost her life she took her last breath surrounded by those who were with her day in day out , by her side through it all ,
She leaves behind not only a Mum,Dad,partner Daniel ,her brothers and a sister and so much more family but two babies who’s mum showed pure strength to fight this nasty cancer so she could watch her babies grow up.
id like to raise some money for Sams parents Jackie and Tim to help towards fulfilling all the dreams Sam had for her children
Sam will live on in Jayden and Connie , no amount of money will ever change the loss of Sam , but two children have now been left without their mummy
