It seems like every week we hear of another poor soul committing suicide or struggling with mental health. Little do we know the extent of this. Over 700 people committed suicide in Scotland last year. Its time we put all our effort into help stopping this figure grow.
In order to help make a difference and support this worthwhile cause, Lindsay and I have decided to do a charity climb up Ben Nevis to help raise money for SAMH (the Scottish Association for Mental Health).
The work done by this charity is something very close to my heart after sadly losing my dad to mental health issues. We will be doing this walk in the memory of a very special man, James Mclelland and in the hope that we can help prevent more suicides in Scotland.
