Ghana @ First Global Robotics

$25,000 goal

Campaign created 4 months ago
$18,000 is needed to equip, train, and send the Robotics team from the Wesley Girls High School to represent Ghana at the First Global Challenge. They will spend nearly a week participating in an international opening ceremony, a series of robotics exhibitions and competitions, as well as tours and team building exercises with students from around the world.

The 2018 FIRST Global Challenge will be hosted in Mexico City, Mexico. The Challenge will take place from August 15-18, 2018 at the Arena Ciudad de México. The theme for 2018 is “ENERGY IMPACT”. From commonly used fossil fuels to environmentally-friendly resources like solar and wind, energy is a tool that powers the different parts of our world one way or another. The 2018 FIRST Global Challenge will explore the impact of the different types of energy we use and how we can make them more sustainable.

Your support will fund a robot kit, team travel, food and lodging, uniforms, and other necessary items and fees for participation.

Founded in 2014,  STEMbees is empowering Ghanaian girls to lead the future in Science, Technology, Engineering , and Mathematics.  Be part of this and support the girls on this journey.
