Thank you
to everyone who has visited this page and shown such amazing support!! Since everyone has done such a great job raising over $5,000 within the first week, I wanted to take the opportunitity to increase our goal in hopes of keeping the ball rolling. When starting this page I was unsure of the cost of Sara's treatment and still am but with her treatment plan involving more and more I know this only means one thing for her bills. THANK YOU AGAIN!! :o)

Why do bad (horrible) things happen to such GOOD people?
Sara is the definition of a good person. She is the sister and friend you've always wanted. She is a kind-hearted, humble, & caring person down to her core. This past May, and just 1 month after marrying her high school best friend of over 10 years, Sara was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer that already spread to her lymph nodes.  And at 30-years old Sara's world was turned upside down.

Sara is no stranger to fighting for her health. When she was  just out of high school, she was diagnosed with Lupus which had her in and out of the hospital. At one point her family and best friend, Justin (who is now her husband), thought they were going to lose her. Sara was recently told her Lupus had gone into remission and could stop her meds. Just days after taking her last medication, Sara discovered a lump in her breast.

Sara works when and where she can but, as her job is physicially demending, it is a challenge. Despite Justin also taking on an additional job, it is still a struggle and huge stressor on them both to try and make ends meet. And unfortunately, the medical bills have just started arriving, not to mention, the additional costs of ER visits, costs of living, and items health insurance does not cover.

Sara recently completed her chemo (yay!!) and has met with her surgeons who have now informed her that she will need radiation.

Sara is a dog mom, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a co-worker, and above all a FIGHTER.  No one should have to take on this battle on their own.

People always ask "what can I do to help?" Well, here it is...
ANYTHING will help. $2, $5, $25, anything!

Skip your daily/weekly coffee treats and donate to Sara instead!

We each have our own life struggles, and sometimes a monitary gift is just not feasable but, you still want to help.  I know Sara will be grateful for any thoughts, well wishes, postitive vibes, and/or prayers you are able to send her way! :o)

THANK YOU in advance!! I know Sara & Justin will be very appreciative of all your help and support !!!

Sara was very hesitant when she found out about this page. I think this speaks volumes in terms of the type of humble and hard working person that she is. I am glad she decided to accept our help and am proud of how brave she has been, throughout this battle, and allowing others to see into her very personal life.
