Keep Antonio from Being Deported

On January 25th, 2017 our friend Antonio was detained by the I.C.E. in Portland, Ore., and shipped off to a detention center in Tacoma, Wa., where he remains. This leaves his wife and three children without their primary means of support. Antonio, though undocumented, has lived in this country for 20 years, works very hard, and pays his taxes. He is a sweet family man of three children, who are all U.S. citizens, and a loving husband to an equally kind and gentle woman. Antonio is an asset to our community, a hard worker, loyal, dependable and always goes above and beyond to which all his clients will attest. Antonio is also a kind, soft spoken, gentle soul. To see him play with his children and teach them just warms our hearts and the thought of him being away from them breaks our hearts.

Now begins the legal fight to save Antonio from deportation. His case is more complicated than most, because Immigration has confused his identity with another man. This mistaken identity has happened to him once before when he was renewing his license. It took him three months to prove his innocence. The hope is is with the help of his attorney this mistake will be rectified and Antonio will be on his way to citizenship. 

A group of Antonio’s clients has banded together to try and help his family through this difficult time. The money raised will go to pay his legal expenses ($5,000 for attorney fees,) and help support his family who have lost a significant portion of their income ($3,500 to $4,000 a month) from Antonio’s landscaping business.
