Westview's Finest Scholarship

The "Westview's Finest" Scholarship is in recognition and memorial of 2002 WHS graduate, Marcques Jose Nettles. Marcques tragically lost his life while serving as a Hospital Corpsman in Al Asad, Iraq on the 2nd of April, 2006.
Since his passing, every June during Westview's senior assembly, two students (typically one male and one female) are awarded this scholarship from the Nettles family, with the support of the community, friends, and family.
Marqcues was a unique personality during his time at Westview. Most notable was his true sense in embracing ALL people, regardless of their circumstances, and his uncondtional love towards all.
This scholarship is meant to award and assist those who share his attitude towards people and life. It is LESS concerned with academic achievement (while that is considered), and more by the way one treats others and contributes to the overall positive experience of attending Westview High School.
Marcques' good spirit touched many lives throughout his time here on earth, and we are so honored and thankful to be able to keep it alive by supporting students with similar qualities and ambitions.
Donations can also be made at any US Bank, and can be written off for tax purposes with Tax ID # 45-0677666.
