The Future is Female, the future is NOW! Help NOW Baltimore send amazing girls to see an inspriring film directed by a woman of color and starring women power.
It's not only important that we lead the charge for gender equity but also that we prepare our young women & girls for the bright future ahead.
Not every girl has the same opportunities for cultural and educational advancement. This can be as simple as watching an inspiring film about girls that are representative of all girls.
The bright Freshman, Sophmore, and Senior girls at Western High School in Baltimore, Maryland are expected to become great with often little that is provided to them. While they are forced to learn in schools that have no heat in the classrooms , these are unacceptable conditions and need to addressed. Now let's give them an opportunity to be inspired.
Our children don't have to accept the world as is, let's inspire them to change it and create a better world.
Join us in sending Baltimore girls to experience A Wrinkle in Time! The film, directed by Ava DuVernay, is based on a science fiction novel by Madeleine L'Engel. The story is centered around a young woman of color who becomes a warrior.
We are fundraising costs for the Theatre Rental at Senator Theatre in Baltimore, MD!
The film premiers March 2018. We look forward to a March showing.
