We would like to begin by extending a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has come together in support of Lyle and Elaine; you are amazing people helping lovely people in a time of need. Elaine will feel very supported and loved reading the kind comments left for her here.
What happened?
On the morningof January 17th, 2017, tragedy stuck the West Family of Zavalla, TX. A suspected leak in the homes propane tank caused an explosion that totalled the home. Lyle West was life-flighted from Zavalla, Texas to Parkland Hospital in Dallas with over 65% of his body burned. Sadly, Lyle West succumbed to his injuries at 8:52pm on the night of January 19th, 2017 leaving behind a loving wife of 64 years, Elaine West.
Elaine is fighting to recover from injurys sustained when she was blown out of the house by the explosion. Now in stable condition, she is still hospitalized and has a long road of healing; both physically and emotionally. She lost everything; even the clothes on her back. Elaine lost the love of her life, Lyle.
NO amount of money will help undo this awful tragedy and loss. We are hoping that $50,000.00 will help Elaine finacially stabilize enough to begin picking up the pieces, when she can.
50k will help significantly with the realistic cost shock that Elaine will incur. If we can raise more, then we can help comfort her that much more.
