For many years outside of paid employment I have committed my personal time and effort towards dramatically reducing and breaking the negative cycles in young Indigenous lives, patterns and thinking that find them encontering the law.  But of late there has been some things (crimes, murders and incarseration rates) that are just to hard to ignore which has caused me to respond with such sites as this, which will allow me to put even more of my energy toword tackling this growing problem.

Supporting me will help me to support other young leaders in the community as I recognize there is a small handfull trying hard in their own capacity to make a difference but are not set up in a way they can receive financial support and most often the biggest hurdle is they dont have the resources and networks to launch their idea sucessfully as this is something I wish I had many years ago when starting out.  So  I will make sure they are well equipped to pursue their endeavours.

For those who don't know of the problem in Townsville; Prisons & detentions are packed to the point the Government is about to waste more tax payers money by building another new facility to house a predicted wave of offenders (some of whom haven't reoffended yet) and all the while there are hardly any positive alternative solutions being offered to deter these youth and steer them in the right direction.  
The drug ICE is easily accessible, girls as young as 11 years old are stealing multiple cars a night for fun and teenage boys from fatherless homes frequent detention and some are even new fathers themselves with babies or pregnant teen partners on the outside and sadly when released, aren't in any position or condition to care for them.  Binge drinking, school retention and drop out rates have spiked as this feeds into the problem.

I will connect trouble youths as well as aspiring leaders with highly inspirational and influential people who will offer employment opportunities as well as sporting coaches, musicians and mentors so that talented youth on the street can envisage "a way out" through their own potential. 

With the money I will also host events, workshops and conferences to draw out conversational ideas and strategies from youth who are in school on how they can be empowered to be role models to their friends who aren't in school and are at risk of offending.
