UMass Dance Team Nationals
Hello Family, Friends, and Supporters!
We are the University of Massachusetts Amherst Dance Team. You can find us performing, and cheering on the minutemen, at every home football and men's basketball game throughout the year. In the Spring, we compete in the NCA/NDA Dance Team Nationals in Daytona Beach, FL. Last year, we took 4th place in the division 1A open category. We are a student run organization, so we depend on supporters like you, lots of fundraising, and our own annual fees to keep our team dancing on the sidelines at games,and to get to nationals.
The dance team practices four nights a week all year long to look our very best. Without a coach to help us along, our team relies on each other to push through and fight toward our goals. Our close knit team is an extremely hardworking and dedicated group of dancers who are ready to prove themselves again this year in Florida. Because we do not receive funding from our school, any donation is greatly appreciated in helping us reach our goal. Your donations will be applied to costumes, registration fees, airfare, transportation, hotel rooms, choreography, and other expenses along the way. Some general costs for the team include the following:
One Dancer's Flight: $350
One Dancer's Full Costume Needs: $200
One Dancer's Choreography Cost: $100
One Dancer's Nationals Entry Fees: $80
New Basketball Uniforms For One Dancer: $50
New Poms for One Dancer: $25
