Well: We have a Problem (Need Well)

So, we woke up this morning without water. Turns out our well pump broke and we need a new one or we have no water for anything: drinking, bathing, flushing toilets, etc. Our best quote is $2800. (We could hook to city water but the hookup quote is more expensive and then we'd have a monthly water bill and worse water. )
We normally have more of a buffer than we currently do, but over the summer we rescued a 24-year-old friend from a horribly abusive family situation. They escaped out the window with an overnight bag and a cat and nothing else, so we've been supporting them fully since June in addition to travel costs. Since their family prevented our friend from finishing high school and kept them locked in an apartment for the last 8 years, we've been helping them start work for their GED and overcome the trauma of family abuse (plus vet bills, doctor bills, etc). They never had a birthday before coming to live with us or celebrate Christmas or even be addressed by their preferred pronouns or name.
The money raised here will go to fixing our well pump so we actually have water at our house. By the grace of which ever deity covers well pumps, generosity, and transgender folks, anything over will go to the care and feeding of our Rescued Family Member (and to help with legal fees, medical fees, etc).
Any little bit helps! And next time the lake here blooms algae enough to make the local city water unusable, y'all can come shower at our place with our lovely clean well water. That is a promise.
