A mother and her 3 year old daughter are seeking refuge in America. This righteous mother was severely beaten for holding opposing political views in the Caribbean Island where she lived. The mother is here legally and documented as a political asylum seeker.

This mother of two still fears for her life and longs to have her family united after 18 months of separation. She had to leave her 9-year-old daughter and husband in Haiti. She is hoping to reunite her family in Massachusetts soon. She sees the United States as a land of freedom and opportunity for a good and productive life.
This brave woman has just completed physical therapy and surgery and is eager to support herself. Her working papers and social security card were obtained recently. Her ambition is to become a nurse and to help others. Her dream is to have her family reunited. With your help this can become a reality.
The available funds and benefits are rapidly being used. We are running out of money to keep her and her daughter safe and sheltered.
This GoFundMe campaign is being organized by the Marblehead congregations of Old North Church, St. Andrews Church and Temple Emanu-El through RIM (Refugee Immigration Ministry). We have been walking alongside this family since they arrived in Massachusetts a year ago. The three congregations have already been incredibly generous, but more money is required.
Your financial support is needed now. Their lease expires in a few months and expenses are adding up. Any contribution will make a difference and enable this mother to have her dream of a united family living in safety in the USA come true! Funds collected will be used to pay for rent, utilities, household items, medical and legal expenses and other basic necessities.
