My Friend's House LA Needs a New Van!!!

My Friend’s House LA "We Feed the Hungry" needs your help so we can continue feeding the homeless community in downtown Los Angeles…as we have been doing for 5+ years. Our 1991 Plymouth Voyager van is now out of commission. It was used to pick up donations of clothing a nd goods from people and businesses throughout the city. It has also been the primary vehicle used to fulfill our weekly “Live to Give” services on Skid Row. Every week, we drive to various local vendors that provide us with food donations for our service on Wednesdays. The van is an important staple in fulfilling this weekly mission.
My Friend’s House Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit human service organization which has waged a war against homelessness and hunger. We do our best with our limited resources to ensure that we serve those in the community by delivering food, clothes, shoes, toiletries, encouraging literature, and other necessities. We serve 200+ homeless and needy adults, children, and seniors living in the Skid Row section of downtown LA on a weekly basis. Since our founding in 2008, we have served over 45K people.
For the past few weeks, we’ve been relying on borrowed vehicles from volunteers to continue our skid row service. Hundreds of people depend on us every week, especially since we’ve never missed a Wednesday (rain or shine). We need to raise funds to buy a pre-owned van ASAP!
We are asking for your help to purchase a new van that will give us reliable and safe transportation. We need to feed thousands more in the communities that need our services.
