Send Weenie Eventers to Midsouth!
We are a group of four eventers from Ontario Canada who have never had the opportunity to event outside of Ontario. We have heard and seen the magic and fun that is the Hagyard MidSouth 3Day & Team Challenge HT and we are finally at a place where we have the horse power to qualify for the event. Now, we just need the support. As amateur eventers we work full time to support our families and our hobby. We are blessed to be able to have and show horses - and regularly give back to our local equine community. This includes helping youth, and volunteering for the local Pony Club. There is a lot of sacrifice to be made to keep these dreams alive.
It is every horse owners dream - to visit Kentucky. The bluegrass state is a slice of horse heaven that has no equal. It is our collective dream to not only visit - but take our horses with us to compete in one of the most famous events in the country, as a team. To build friendship, comraderie, and bring home with us the tools we need to pass on to the future horsemen and women of our generation.
As Equestrian sport is an elite sport, we are lucky to be a part of it - purely by the hard work and ingenuity to scrimp, save, and work long hours. The dream to compete in Kentucky is just a dream, until we can work to make it a reality.
