In the last few months, having finished my book, I have been creating a lot of new videos and other material that I will start releasing in a torrent this fall. I feel motivated like never before by the things I have seen in the world -- both horrifying and sublime. I am no longer content to just create material, brush my hands together, stick it in my website archive, and move on to the next thing. It needs to be levered out into the world.
To do that I am conducting a major transformation of my website and outreach. My current website is mostly a media library, a repository of material. Now I feel urgent and eager to amplify the messages and ideas I've been working with.
The new site will offer a journey through key material integrating heart and mind, spirit and politics, ecology and economy -- a journey of love-radicalization through all dimensions of the New and Ancient Story. The library function will still be there, but a new function like Youtube's recommendation engine will take people through the best of the hundreds of hours of audio and video and one million words of text on the site. This involves also cutting up the audio/video material into topical chunks and reintegrating them into an intentional flow. Another aspect of this project is a "Big Art" production and other special content to translate ideas onto a more sensuous, emotive plane.
This will be a labor-intensive process, in which a wonderful brother-sister team is assisting me basically pro bono. The fundraising is mostly for the designers and coders they work with -- this project is more involved than could easily be done with a team of volunteers. That's why I'm drawing from my "public bank account" of goodwill and generosity, since as part of my commitment to working in the Gift, I do not accumulate financial investments, retirement savings, and so on to draw from. My promise to you is that I will continue offering all that I produce without paywalls and without advertising. Thank you for helping show that this can work!
