To start off with I want to thank you for taking the time to read this. We are a family of 6 and as of now we are all living off of just my income. I have tried to do it all on my own since last May. I have no choice now but to swallow my pride. Before I tell you our needs I want to tell you a little about us. We are the ones that always try to help others the type that will give the shirts off our backs. We raise our kids to love and respect others and teach them good manners and morals. They are great kids. My wife she is a cosmetologist she is my rock. She is the positive one in our marriage. The one that always sees a light at the end of the tunnel always says it’s going to work out or things will get better. Things are very hard right now. I am disabled and on a fixed income. I feel like I am at a dead end and just don’t know how we are going to make it. I try my best to do my best I stay honest and do my best to make sure my family has what we need. So far I haven’t failed. I just have a lot of doubt. My wife was having a hard time finding a job without her cosmetologist license. We were just able to pay for her cosmetologist license the 1st of this month (May 2017) so that she could start her new job. We also had our van inspected and tags renewed. That is when it all went downhill. The van was already acting up and wasn’t running well and we ended up replacing 3 sensors and the starter along with the coil pack. Along with that I paid $100.00 in labor because let’s face it (LOL) I am a long ways from being a mechanic. That $100.00 was our little nest egg that we had managed to save up (I want to add it took us a while to make that little nest egg). Needless to say we still have a van that will not start. Like I said I am no mechanic but I do know that it’s not getting and fire/spark when you crank it. We need a mechanic and we can’t afford it. Because of all of that happening we have ran out of money. We are behind on bills and really struggling. We have contacted a few churches and DSS along with Salvation Army and they only offer help with food or emergency needs like in the event of a fire or flood. We are out of all household necessities like laundry detergent, dish soap hygiene products and toilet paper. This is hard for us to do because we don’t like to ask for help we try to do it all on our own. Like I said I guess it is time we swallow our pride and ask. If you know of a mechanic that could help us that would be great.(Keep in mind we have no money) That’s why we started this page. We have no transportation to meet anyone so if anyone is willing to help with the things mentioned other than the van you would have to come to us. If you don’t want to donate through this Go Fund Me page and would like to help with a gift cards That is also fine. Also this whole time the van has been down we have to depend on others to get around and times are tight on everyone we know so we have to provide gas money when we need to get to the store or an appointment. We cannot do that anymore because all of our emergency funds have been depleted. Donations would be used for that as well. (Again if you would rather help us with gas with a gas card thats great,) Our kids are about to be out of school for the summer and everything is a mess. They don’t know of our financial problems because they are kids and they shouldn’t have to stress over adult problems, and we tend to keep it that way. We’re trying our best to get past this bump in the road. We just need a little help is all? So in closing, again thank you for taking the time to read this. I have to say I feel bad asking for help like this because there are people who have it way worse than we do. I also know with me posting this people are going to judge me and gossip. Well I thought of that and came to the conclusion I don’t care what people say or think of me or for asking for help. (Everyone needs a little help sometimes). This doesn’t have to be a donation or hand out either. I will gladly do odd jobs to the best of my ability. I have a lot of handyman skills.
