We love Ashley!

Because she's lived her whole life in eastern North Carolina, Ashley Simpson has seen a lot of hurricanes... but like so many of us, Hurricane Florence caught her off guard. She didn't expect the storm surge that hit New Bern so hard, in which the Neuse River rose high enough to flood her house, ruining nearly all of her possessions.

Like so many New Bernians, Ashley is piecing back together her life. This fund is set up for us, her friends and family, to help her with that. She has many needs to replace. Virtually all of her furniture and kitchenware, many of her clothes, and even her car were damaged beyond repair by the rising floodwaters.

Ashley serves as the Youth and Children's Minister at Christ Episcopal Church in New Bern.
