This beautiful horse was merely known as tag no 0382 and he was headed to be meat, I couldn't bear the thought of him going to Mexico for slaughter and he has been bailed out of a kill pen. So I set up this gofundme page and every single pound donated will help towards his ongoing care at the Soul Horse Texas - a dedicated no profit rescue organisation. Please can you donate even a small amount - I really will appreciate it almost as much as Elan will - his name is Apache for Friendly which is so much better than tag no 0382!

Some are old and deemed no further use, others are mere foals taken from their mothers only a few weeks old and many are ex racehorses that have made their owners thousands but thrown out like trash once their racing days are over. Most horses sadly aren't rescued and as horses cant be slaughtered in the USA they instead face a treacherous road trip to Mexico or Canada in the blazing heat often without water. Some never even last the journey to their slaughter - it really is that dreadful.
