Early in our marriage we talked about our future together. We talked about how many kids we wanted, and the conviction that God had placed on each of our hearts to adopt. We discovered that He had graced both of us with a deep love for children and also a longing to open our arms wide in welcoming adopted children into our family. We weren't sure of the “how” or “when”, but we knew that adoption would be a part of our story.
For years we had waited for a natural (second) child alongside researching adoption agencies. There were times where both outcomes seemed unattainable. The cost was high and the wait uncertain. It seemed like a daunting, unclear journey ahead and for a long time, we allowed these obstacles to hold us back.
We have now come to this point where we feel deeply convicted to pursue adoption despite the obstacles. We know that now is the time to say “yes” to what God had placed on our hearts years ago. We are working with Holt International which has a longstanding relationship with South Korea. Our home study has been approved and in the coming months, we should be matched with a child!
We would love to open an invitation to partner with us through this process. We would be grateful for any financial support you might consider giving in order to help offset the costs involved in adoption. For an international adoption from South Korea, total costs can be up to $50,000. Please prayerfully consider giving only if you can and feel led to.
