***UPDATE: 5/23/17: Yesterday morning my brother received the news about our fathers life insurance. This isn't like my father to be careless but in order to proceed with the funeral services this Thursday we need lots of help. Even if it's just $5, it will help greatly. Our family is very much grateful for all the help we have received so far. We are looking more into the life insurance but we are cutting it short. I ask that you all keep us in continuous prayers. Thank you***
Funeral services will be held at the Mission Funeral Home off Cesar Chavez. Visitation will start @5pm followed by Rosary @7pm.
***Update. My father passed away Saturday morning 5/20/17 around 7am. He was taken off life support Friday morning at 11:30am. He continued to fight until he could no longer. He leaves behind 2 sons, 4 daughters, 20+ grandkids, his mother, 2 brothers, 1 sister, and so many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was truly loved by so many. Thank you all who showed support and was there for him and us all.***
On The evening of May 11th, just a little after 9pm, our father was found unconscious in the bathroom. He was immediately rushed to the hospital where they informed us that my father was in critical condition. He had massive stroke and was put on a ventilator. They also told us that he had hemorrhaging in the brain and swelling of the brain. They had to hurry and put tubes in is head to relieve the pressure. It was 4 hours later when we were able to see our dad. He was placed in ICU. He has had no change. We are working with the Mexican Consulate about bringing my grandmother, his brothers and sister to the US. We have submitted the proper paperwork. However, in order for this to happen we needed a prognosis on our dads condition. After receiving it, the forms were sent and we are now waiting for the call. This was all so sudden. But we are doing our best to get them here. This evening we received some bad news. The Dr.s told us my dads brain in deteriorating. There is nothing more they can do. We are keeping him on life support until we can get my grandmother and his siblings here. We are needing some help to pay for the travel, food, and shelter. We ask that you keep us in prayer during this difficult time. We continue to have faith. Anything will help. They will be given 10 days to stay in the US with legal paperwork. My father is a fighter and we are praying for a miracle. He is very much loved. We continue to pray over him and we are keeping strong for him. We want to make sure my grandmother is comfortable with her stay here as she is ill as well. She did not take the news well. My family in Mexico is keeping a close eye on her. Thank you for your time.
