The 2016 basketball season will be the 12th year of great basketball for the Women’s Blue Chip Basketball League. With the dream of helping young women achieve their goals of playing basketball at the professional level, the WBCBL has made tremendous strides to continuously grow throughout each year.
The Women’s Blue Chip Basketball League is the premier professional development league for women basketball players. It is our mission to provide highly competitive basketball for women, with competition levels ranging from former college players, former WNBA and NWBL players to current international players. In addition, the WBCBL has built a strong networking relationship with professional international basketball scouts and agents to broaden the possibility of higher-level professional play for the women of the league.
The women who play in the WBCBL willing allow their talents and skills to be evaluated by professional basketball scouts and agents, with opportunity to sign contracts with higher level professional teams. There is no guarantee that these women will receive professional contracts, but by playing in the WBCBL their chances increase to 1 in 40. Since the start of the Women’s Blue Chip Basketball League we have helped over 300 women sign professional overseas contracts.
What makes the Women’s Blue Chip Basketball League Unique? We are the largest women’s league in the United States in national coverage and team participation. Over 80% of the women in our league are college athletes which help increase the level of competition. We are a Christian-based organization that has been blessed to build a solid foundation in basketball and our respective communities. Throughout our 12 year existence we have continuously grown and sustained with little to no funding from sponsors or investors.
The WBCBL is continuing to grow throughout the country and need your help and support. We are on a mission to change the game of basketball!
