Wow!!! What an amazing turnout for the Fundraiser Kickoff last Wednesday at Mookie's BBQ !! BIG THANKS to Mookie's BBQ , Owner Brian Varani and his TERRIFIC staff!! Over 50 people joined us to support our great friend Wayne Gamotis and to show Wayne how loved he is! We have a long way to go to reach our goal and hope and pray this fundraiser and your support will help Wayne and Julie Gamotis through this difficult time!
Like a storm without warning, our dear friend Wayne Gamotis has been diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic colon/bone cancer. The rapid progression of the disease has forced Wayne to no longer keep his dishwasher job at Mookie' BBQ .
Wayne is a long-time resident of Great Falls and has for decades given to the Great Falls community in many ways including his volunteer work with the Celebrate Great Falls Foundation, helping disabled senior citizens with their yard work and even splitting and delivering free firewood to single Moms to help heat their homes.
Despite his new challenges, Wayne's perpetual smile and sense of humor continue to light up the lives of his many friends, new and old.
Now it is our turn to come together and help relieve some of the burdens of the immeasurable medical and living expenses Wayne is facing, and, most importantly, help a genuine, kindhearted human being who is most deserving of our help.
Never underestimate the difference you can make! Even the smallest donation will be of help and Wayne truly appreciates your support at this very difficult time.
Please join us July 24th at Mookie's BBQ as we come together as a community to help Wayne. Brian Varani, owner of Mookie's, is very generously donating a portion of the day's proceeds to Wayne.
