This is a modern day "Feeding of the 5000" story! It started with compassion for a little boy drinking dirty water and a gift of 5 water filter kits and God is multiplying it! We are excited to see what God is doing for our neighbors in Honduras. Thank you for supporting this project financially and prayerfully! All donations are tax deductible. Donations of any amount are appreciated! Even $1 and a share makes a difference!

Water Filter Project History

2013- In the beginning…. We brought a gift of 5 water filters kits from our good friend Jeff Iosa to El Mico, Honduras. We left one at each church and one at the school so the filters would be centrally located in the village of El Mico. The other two were left with the Honduras Outreach, Inc. ranch staff for research.

2014- Problems with sanitation and recontamination of filtered water were identified by the Honduras Outreach, Inc. ranch director and the shelf system (pictured below) was designed to keep the filtered water clean. We delivered 110 water filters that supplied every family with a lifetime of clean water as a pilot program.

(had to turn this pic sideways so it would show the whole pic. It stands like the drawing above it)

2015- GREAT NEWS!!  We received a report from Honduras Outreach, Inc. ranch staff that the filters were making a big impact with cases of diarrhea dropping from 52.9% down to 6.77% in El Mico (pictured above) We brought 115 more filters and delivered them to a larger, very remote village named El Predrero (pictured in the campaign photo) that is having severe problems with water borne illnesses.

2016 plan- With a great need recognized by the Honduras Mission Team, we brought 500 water filters to the Agalta Valley, Honduras in July 2016 and continued this project to help some of the 200 villages in this remote area. We are amazed at how God has multiplied the gift of 5 filters.

2017 plan- We plan to travel to southern Honduras known as the dry zone where some communities don't have access to water at all in October 2017. Our goal is to drill a well for $12,000 to $15,000 (875 ft deep) and provide 500 families with a Sawyer water filter. God is doing amazing things in Honduras through St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church members, friends, family,  the Honduras Mission Team, and now people we don't know yet. Glory to God! Thank you!
