God broke the mold when He made Wally and now we all need to fight to keep her well.
A beautiful soul, a selfless heart, a loving sister, devoted daughter and a true friend is now having to battle cancer. Wally has been diagnosed with stage 3 colon/rectal cancer, which is causing her a great deal of pain. She, along with her family & friends, have decided to FIGHT.
The treatment is quite intensive, but everyone is confident that she will beat this! Wally needs our support as she has given the same to all of us at some point in our relationship with her. There is strength in numbers and with God's grace and mercy, we will be able to help our beautiful Wally to celebrate a long healthy life with us.
Wally’s out of pocket costs for chemo and radiation therapy is approximately $4,500 for a period of 5 weeks. The recommendation from therapy is that she complete a full 5 weeks of treatment, rest 5 weeks and then do another round of 5 weeks. That would be a total of $9,000. This does not include possible surgery. Our goal today is to help Wally get started with those treatments and begin the journey of healing as soon as possible. Due to the harsh treatment she will receive, she will have to miss time from work. The last thing we want for her is to be overly concerned with any financial burden or just meeting her daily needs. We want her to concentrate her efforts on fighting and winning!
The funds we raise will go primarily toward Wally's therapy and partly towards her basic living expenses during this time.
Wally has touched our hearts, our homes and our lives in so many ways - giving is the least we can do. Any amount helps, and prayers (lots and lots of prayers) are welcome. So please, look deep and give whatever you can to help fund her road to recovery.
