Sofia's Battle with Lymphoma

One of the best women I know, is in a fight to beat Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
A few days before Christmas, my friend Sofia was given a rather surprising and needless to say unwanted "present".
No it wasn't packaged in a nice little box, with cute paper and some dollar store bow. It was put plain and simple... "You have cancer." Doctors confirmed that at 30-years-old, she now would be venturing into a role so unfamiliar and unknown, and unfortunately undeserving.
Sofia is one of my best friends. We met years ago working together in New York, where I quickly became friends with she and her husband Zach. We all moved cross-country to Los Angeles in June of 2015 to begin a new job. Over the years I have known Zach & Sofia, and their dog Quincy, they have NEVER asked for anything.
Still with this news, they aren't asking for help. But as a friend (and honestly I consider them family) I am doing my part in asking for your help.
If it's prayers, financial contributions, physical help, and of course emotional support, know that it ALL will be beyond appreciated by Sofia & Zach. Your donations will go towards helping them pay medical bills and treatment.
Sofia will begin chemotherapy on the second week of January and continue receiving treatment according to her doctor's plans.
If you have never had the chance to meet Sofia, let me tell you... this Portuguese spitfire, loving, compassionate and loyal-as-the-day-is-long woman is one of the best, and, one that deserves to know how loved and supported she is throughout this fight.
She has got a great support system around her, both at home and abroad. For those of you that have worked, been friends with, hung out with, or even met once, you can attest that from THAT moment on your day got a little better, your smile a little wider, and laughter a little louder.
You know her heart, I know her determination. She will beat this!
With your help this will be soon be something she can look back on, and inspire other women and those diagnosed with cancer how to live life to the fullest, fight on, and attest to the importance of having an army of supporters.
