WalkAid for Faith!!!

Our 5 year old daughter, Faith, was diagnosed with a prenatal Right Middle Cerebral Artery stroke when she was 6 months old. In other words, she had a stroke while in the womb and we found out when she was 6 months old. It's pretty rare, and she now suffers from left sided weakness.
To combat the left sided weakness, Faith uses a dynamic movement orthosis for her left arm/hand and an articulating foot orthosis for her left lower leg/foot.
Recently, we were introduced to a device called the WalkAid, an electronic stimulation device that uses electrodes that are attached to her calf to stimulate the nerves in her calf to cause her walk correctly. This device will allow her to walk without her leg brace!
Currently, Faith has a condition called "drop foot which causes her toes to drag as she walks. This makes her trip frequently and is an unhealthy and unsteady gait. But with the WalkAid, her gait is more even and her steps are closer to normal. She even exhibits a complete heel strike! This is all very exciting because she has never truly had that before!
