Walk behind tractor 4 Emma's Acres
Emma's Acres is a 8 acre small lot farm that grows non spray, non GMO vegetables, fruits and herbs that are sold at the Mission City Farmers Market, on site and to local restaurants and grocery stores. Produce is also donated to local non profits and individuals in need. Proceeds from Emma's Acres goes towards our work with people impacted by the criminal justice system.
The L.I.N.C. Society started Emma's Acres three years ago from scratch on land we lease from the District of Mission. We have had to clear the land, build the infrastructure, get electricity and drip irrigation in and increase the PH levels in the soil. Alot of the work we do by hand. The walk behind tractor will help with row building etc and make things a lot faster.
donating for this campaign!
Today we received a generous donation from Mike and Judy Campbell of Campbell's Gold towards our tractor fund. The sky has cleared up here. It is nice and hot. We have lots of tomatoes, peppers, squash and cucumbers. Here is a picture I can not remember if I posted it of one of our Atlanta Dill Pumpkins. By the time it is fully grown, this baby will be over 300 pounds. We will be donating it to the District of Mission. Please consider donating to our fund to get a much needed walk behind tractor for Emma's Acres. Thx
Emma's Acres is mentioned in it as an example of an innovative prisoner rehabilitation programme.
