hi! My name is tammi and I am mentally ill. I have a fabulous mental illness called bi-polar disorder. Twenty five years ago I was finally diagnosed, and I thought hallelujah!! Only to be subjected to YEARS of what I like to call the "antidepressant flavor of the month club". So for six weeks you ramp up to the right amount of the drug, get ALL the side effects............but no good things! So then you ramp down only to start on the next drug. I was fortunate enough to find a wonderful psychiatrist about seven years ago who let me in on the secret that most antidepressants don't work for people like me. So now, many drupg combinations later, I have become very drug resistant. In fact, NOTHING works now. My next and really only choice is to have ECT, or electroshock therapy. I have no insurance. My husband makes too much for public assistance.............what a joke...........and I do the only thing I can, which is paint. We have no extra money for anything, let alone insurance. I need 1800.00 because that will pay for three months of coverage for me and then I can get the ECT. my quality of life right now is worse than bad. I have barely left the couch in four months.

ive exhausted everything possible that I can do. I need this treatment. It's my last hope.
