Great Academy Ashton is fundraising to send 30 students to Ecuador in the summer of 2020 with Camps International. The students going are tasked with raising £4340 each to fund their trip, during which they will support various charitable efforts in rural and mountainous Ecuador. From building school desks for local children to re-forestation projects in the Amazon Rainforest GAA students will make a massive difference to the lives of many.
For them, the benefits are in the commitment they must make to raise the funds themselves through sponsorship or fundraising activities and the incredible opportunity to develop their leadership skills, practical abilities, teamwork and experience - supporting them is an investment in the young people of Ashton, their futures and ambitions as well as a donation to support communities in need in Ecuador itself.
You can donate to our general fund or sponsor an individual student if you name them in your message - and we will be recording and publicising the trip itself in 2020 so you can see exactly what your funds have allowed. We can tweet to thank you, promote your business or enterprise and signpost our community to your website - but mostly we will be forever grateful for your support and the students will carry their gratitude to the Equator...
