Oklin's Road To Recovery

JOY! That is the word that comes to mind when I think of all the times I have watched Oklin Bloodworth perform. He is a gifted and creative musician with an engaging personality. His specialty is composing and performing children’s music and it has always been great fun to watch adults lose their inhibitions and join the children in the singing and dancing fun. Over the 40 years that I have known Oklin, I have watched him become both well-known and well-loved in the Central San Joaquin Valley.

 

This wonderful man is presently unable to share his music. In February, 2015, Oklin was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, Stage 2, T cell. After three rounds of chemotherapy I am happy to report that Oklin is in remission! Unfortunately, the chemotherapy has ravaged his body. The last round of treatments put him in the hospital for three weeks. Even though he is able to eat again, he is receiving nutrition intravenously which necessitates living with a nutrition backpack. Oklin, who once was full of boundless energy is now completely drained of energy. Recovering from the effects of chemotherapy does not happen quickly. 

 

Not being able to perform means that Oklin is currently without an income for basic living and unforseen medical expenses. He has given much to many over the years and now we have an opportunity to give to him. Please help Oklin financially through this difficult time until he is well enough to start spreading joy through his music again. Thank you so much!
