Mr. C's Medical Treatment Fund
On May 6, 2015, Brian Campopiano was found unconscious by his employees at Marin Treks Natural History Museum. After five grueling days in the ICU, transferring to a second hospital, and a battery of tests, we received the devastating news… Brian has a brain tumor. There are still many unanswered questions about this tumor, but surgery is in Brian's future. We are hopeful that it was found early enough and that the prognosis will be good.
Brian (affectionately known as Mr. C by his students, and Groucho by his school mates) is a husband, the father of two beautiful, strong, talented girls (ages 17 and 12), a friend, a naturalist, and an entrepreneur. Brian is known for his warm and friendly spirit that radiates happiness, energy, and caring wherever he goes. Brian and his wife, Lina, founded Marin Treks, a hands-on natural history and science museum in Novato, California. Children of all ages flock to Marin Treks classes, field trips, birthday parties, and summer camps. Brian is adored by everyone who knows him.
The medical bills are coming in, and if Brian and Lina don't work, they don't get paid. We established this page to help with Brian's medical expenses so that his family is financially supported, and they can continue to run Marin Treks.
Brian is eager to watch his daughters graduate, walk down the aisle, and have children of their own. (Imagine Mr. C as a grandfather and all the fun adventures he’ll take with his grandkids!) He has mountains to climb, trails to hike, rivers to raft, and many adventures to share with Lina after they both retire. Please help us support Brian and Lina and the girls in these uncertain times. Our goal is to help them keep their home, their business, and their hopes up.
October Update: After months of evaluations, scans, discussions, tests, and the like, Mr. C's last scan does not show evidence of a brain tumor! We are thankful for the love, support, and help, and we are most thankful for no evidence of a tumor! Now Mr. C can focus his strength and energy on Marin Treks, and his lovely family can keep building a wonderful life.
