Urgent Funds needed to ensure registration on Ballot!
In the last few weeks Fiona has recorded interviews and video footage with all the major Media outlets who contacted her regarding her candidacy. She has been received with much appreciation and enthusiasm due to the important and diverse issues which she is focusing on. This media coverage will be published once the Election is called.
However, Fiona needs funds to ensure her place on the Ballot.
As an independent she has one chance (within 7 days) to register once the Dail is dissolved and the General Election called. Fiona must lodge a 500 euro surety with the county registrar when presenting for registration on the official ballot paper.
As a mother on Carers Allowance, with no financial backing or Party support, Fiona needs your help.
She will in return bring the issues highlighted below into the political debate during the election, and will continue fighting for the rights of the disabled and their carers whatever the result of the election long into the future.

Fiona Pettit O’Leary is a mother to five children, two of which are on the Autistic Spectrum. Fiona also has Aspergers. She is a Carer and a passionate campaigner for the Autistic community, the Disabled and their carers. Fiona also founded the voluntary Organisation Autistic Rights Together 'ART'
Fiona’s most immediate issue in this election is pushing for legislation to protect Autistic people from unregulated, unproven and dangerous so called treatments and cures by criminalising the sale, promotion and use of such products.
Other priorities for her in this campaign include:
* The discontinuation of the use of restraints and seclusion rooms in all special needs schools.
* A substantial increase in Social welfare payments and supports for all those on Disability and Cares Allowance as right now the majority are merely existing not living, with little or no hope of a better future when forced to endure what is effectively a long term poverty trap.
* Inclusion of Autistic people and those with Disabilities in all organisations which claim to represent them.
* The training of all members of the public sector and service providers such as the Garda and public servants who are on the front line dealing with Autistic people and those with Disabilities.
Mrs O'Leary firmly supports the "Disable Inequality" initiative alongside the Disability Federation of Ireland and urges all political representatives to make the needs and rights of the 600,000 strong Disabled community a priority in the next Government.
